A travel writing workshop coming up in June

Love to write, travel -- this workshop is for you! Writer's Block Philippines will be having another awesome workshop on June 19 (coincidentally falls on our national hero's birthday, Jose Rizal) entitled "Walk Write This Way". Here's the low down on this upcoming tour/workshop:

Enter a world of cobblestone streets and Baroque architecture, of large stone cathedrals and buildings coated by memories of a bittersweet past. Walk the paths of governors-general and of Old Manila’s genteel elite, where the fate of an entire nation stood on the shoulders of a walled city that refused to go down with the ashes of war.

Enter Intramuros… and see it through the eyes of Manila’s irrepressible Manila-phile, thespian-tour guide, and original culture vulture: CARLOS CELDRAN.

On June 19 (the same day as national hero Jose Rizal’s birthday), join Carlos and Writer’s Block Philippines as we take you through Old Manila’s Walled City and connect you with monuments, milestones, and memories that have inspired the works of generations of authors and artists. Sample Carlos’s irreverent humor and mix it with Writer’s Block Philippines’s authoritative take on travel writing for that one-of-a-kind experience that could help launch YOUR freelance writing career.

Ain't this going to be a fun learning experience or what? But wait -- there's more! Included in the workshop is a session on photography by photographer extraordinaire Ena Terol. Way cool isn't it? To learn more on how to join this workshop, visit Writer's Block Philippines website for details.
